What an awsome day yesterday was.Just the fact that it was Shabbos was incredible enough, but to be able to enjoy the beginning of a new congregation and to dedicate my new grandauhgter, Emmily, added to the blessing of the day!
As we prepard for the the day it was brought to my attention that one of our Shamashim was under attack by the enemy during the week. I expressed to him that I too was under attack. I had asked him earlier in the week to prepare to do the cantillations for the Torah blessing. He told me that as soon as I had made that request, the "warfare" started. He did not expound what the situation was, just that he had come under attack. It is not important that he specified what was going on. The important thing is that he was able to recognize that he was being attacked in his spirit and as he indicated to me, he immediately went into offense; he prayed. Lesson to be learned. Indentify the aggressor and fire all guns!
My attack came in the form of not being able to keep from falling asleep when I was preparing the lesson. The enemy knows my weakness. I like to sleep and one of the ways I like to fall asleep is to read. I was able to identify that I was under attck because I was not trying to go to sleep, I was preparing my lesson and I was doing it in the middle of the day.
However, both of us prevailed, the service came together and we all enjoyed being in His presence.
Beit Shemini is a reality and we pray that He will use us in a mighty way.
Keep praying for our little community.
Shalom, Shalom
Zec 4:6
Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the YHWH unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the YHWH of hosts.
