toraistrue | Your Torah is True

Our source of life must be the Scriptures and Yeshua who is the Living Torah.  Simply put, the Torah is a set of instructions that HaShem has given to His redeemed people. The Torah consists of commandments, statutes, precepts, and ordinances that HaShem has given us to observe, remember, and keep so all would be well with us (we can be then one with the Father). The Torah is a good gift from our Father in Heaven. The Torah is the way we should walk because we love Him (YHWH).

The Torah is the truth. The Torah is a tree of life. The Torah is light. The Torah is eternal, without beginning or end. The Torah is the eternal Word of YHWH. Even as Tehillim (Psalm) 19:7-8 says: “19:7  YHWH’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. YHWH’s testimony is sure, making wise the simple. 19:8 YHWH’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. YHWH’s mitzvah is pure, enlightening the eyes.”

Maran Rabeinu Yeshua HaMashiach said, "If you love me, keep my commandments" (Yochanan 14:15). When He spoke these words to His Talmidim, He meant what He said (Besorah HaTova HaTova/ the Good News of Good News was not written yet). Maran Rabeinu Yeshua HaMashiach announced to the people to repent and that the kingdom of heaven was at hand; the same message that Yochanan HaMatbil (the Immerser) proclaimed. In Mattityahu 5, Yeshua HaMashiach said that he came to properly interpret (fulfill) Torah and not to improperly interpret (abolish or destroy the meaning of) Torah. That is why when Maran Yeshua HaMashiach uses the phrases, "You have heard it said…" and "…moreover I say to you…" He is imparting His halachah (proper interpretation) of the Scripture passage. His "halachah" (understanding of how the Torah commandments should be walked out) is what we should be following. He is our Rabbi. He is the living Torah. He is the light of the world. He is the way, the truth, and the life. Way, Truth, and Life (Derech, Emet, and Chai) are all synonyms found in the Scriptures for YHWH'S Torah.  If we say that we love YHWH, we will keep His commandments, His Torah. Obedience is a product of love. It is the evidence of our faith. With our Rabbi’s halachah and the Ruach HaKodesh empowering us we can keep His Torah. It is written on our hearts (Yirmeyahu 31:31). We are to love the YHWH, our EL with all of our hearts according to Devarim 6:5. So it is the love and fear of YHWH that motivates us to keep His commandments.

The observance of YHWH’s Torah is a demonstration of our love for Him. It is a joy! As we continue to study the Scriptures and grow in the fear and admonition of YHWH may the words of Tehillim 119:1 come to pass in our lives: “How happy are those whose way of life is blameless, who live by the Torah of YHWH”

Our Rabbi said about the holy Torah: “Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Mattityahu 5:19).

He doesn’t indicate that they will lose their salvation, but truth be known, would they want to have the reputation as the “Kingdom’s Least?”
