A little sceptical

Shalom mishpocha. In Acts 17:28 rav Shaul quoted a greek poet, Aratus work. But i'm wondering about that. Why would the rav quote from a pagan source? Also Shaul talked about running to reach the finish line. Was he referring to the olympics?and lastly was all the above injected into scripture by the catholic churches orders? Peace.

Yeah he was quoting a Greek source and referring to an Olympic runner. 
I personally see no issue with this anymore than I see an issue with the Torah quoting a pagan prophet Baalam, or quoting an ancient proverb directed against Adonai "Nimrod a mighty against Adonai", or the NT in certain places quoting the LXX instead of the Hebrew text, or Peter speaking of angels being in Tarterus (a pagan underworld 2 Pe chapter 2) . It's all context. This things and issues were not developed in a vacuum. There were other societies around that were very real and in one's face. I think the only issue would be if some divine credential wad attributed to them. Then, perhaps there would an issue to discuss. But Paul's writings are simply letters to Greek speaking peoples so he used what was known to them as illustrations. That's all.

I think there is a sertin about of yes , the church may have tampered with the scritures but then again no! as the Aramaic has it in thier too. I also wonder what you have talked about  why as a rabbi he would talk about these things . Unless he was talking purly to Greek people that would understand.
